My Bio
I'm an extremely amateur artist from the UK. My art is all done out of a love of drawing rather than any test of skill. It's why most of my art is fanart (since it combines my love of doodling with my love of a specific media).
I took GCSE Art because it meant I got to waste several hours of school time on my incessant habit of doodling in the margins of my school excersise books. It did not cultivate my artwork in any shape or form. I've learnt more about art from deviantArt tutorials and various other sites on the web than I ever did in a classroom.
(Also, my habit of doodling in margins continued all throughout college and my years of servitude to my current employers-my colleagues are used to seeing strange flowers and animals drawn on my paperwork-normally auditable paperwork...)
I have many failings as an artist that include: a lack of serious imagination (90% of my work is women stood straight in a three quarter profile), laziness (I never take the time to do basic practice work), impatience (I never take the time to perfect things) and a lack of focus (I often get bored and leave pictures half done).
I have made some improvements over the years, though.
My serious attempts have far improved anatomy in comparison to my earlier works.
And my colouring is much improved (helped by colouring manga scans-none of which are posted here as I don't consider using licensed works as a colouring book art).
Current Residence: Somerset, England
Favourite genre of music: I'm Ecclectic! Classical, Jpop, Rock, Pop, Dance...you name it, I'll listen to it!
Operating System: Windows 7 Ultimate
MP3 player of choice: iPod Touch 64GB 5th Gen (finally upgraded from my 32GB 1st Gen because I ran out of space!)

I went to my local library to get some books on Victorian Costume (for my Pimped Out Victorian Costume Party New Trials Picture) and found out they're closing for 5 weeks for renovation works.
Which means that instead of having my books for a month I have them for two and a half! WOOHOO!
I wasn't sure if I should get the books today, since I didn't think I'd have time to actually research them for a couple weeks, but I think I shall manage to get all the research I need done by January 28th!

I took advantage of the Buy 12 Months Get 12 Months Free offer to purchase my next year's premium membership (even though it wasn't due for renewal until May).
Which now means I have a premium membership paid until May 2015.
Lol! That might be how long it takes to finish any of my current works in progress!
But that actually will take me just past my 10th Anniversary on dA which is quite surreal. DeviantArt came into my internet life about halfway, so I'm beginning to realise that I've now reached the point where the part of my life where I have had access to the internet is longer than the time before that!

The best laid plans...

I did have a Halloween picture planned for New Trials and I had really good costumes picked out for all the characters with meanings behind them etc. (Sakura as a witch because that's what she is, Syaoran as a werewolf because duh!, Meilin as a ghost maiden because she sometimes feels incomplete without magic, Kai as Dr. Jekyll/Mr. Hyde because of his dual nature, Tomoyo as a Siren because of her voice...)
And when I went to do the layout sketch it turned into Victorian Costume Party*.
So, yeah...nothing like what I planned!
To be fair, Eriol would be the one of the group most likely to host a Halloween Party and I can totally imagine him

I'm so sorry I'm not more involved, my life consists of work, sleep and a small amount of time in between to be involved in tumblr (most of my blogging happens there) so I find it difficult to do much on other sites. Most of my hobbies are non-existent right now (I've been knitting a pair of socks since May, for example!) and even my TV watching happens in quick snatches before going to work or throwing episodes on my tablet to watch during lunch breaks. But even though I'm constantly busy, I'm doing good so I can't complain.
