I'm an extremely amateur artist from the UK. My art is all done out of a love of drawing rather than any test of skill. It's why most of my art is fanart (since it combines my love of doodling with my love of a specific media).

I took GCSE Art because it meant I got to waste several hours of school time on my incessant habit of doodling in the margins of my school excersise books. It did not cultivate my artwork in any shape or form. I've learnt more about art from deviantArt tutorials and various other sites on the web than I ever did in a classroom.

(Also, my habit of doodling in margins continued all throughout college and my years of servitude to my current employers-my colleagues are used to seeing strange flowers and animals drawn on my paperwork-normally auditable paperwork...)

I have many failings as an artist that include: a lack of serious imagination (90% of my work is women stood straight in a three quarter profile), laziness (I never take the time to do basic practice work), impatience (I never take the time to perfect things) and a lack of focus (I often get bored and leave pictures half done).

I have made some improvements over the years, though.

My serious attempts have far improved anatomy in comparison to my earlier works.

And my colouring is much improved (helped by colouring manga scans-none of which are posted here as I don't consider using licensed works as a colouring book art).
